Terms & Conditions

LEGAL DISCLAIMER

At Claire Field Bridal, I am committed to providing transparent and clear terms and conditions. It is important to understand that the information provided on this page serves as general guidance and is not a substitute for legal advice tailored to your specific business needs. I highly recommend seeking professional legal counsel to ensure that your terms and conditions accurately reflect your business practices and protect your interests.

MINIMUM BOOKING REQUIREMENTS

  • The minimum booking for PEAK season weddings on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between May – September & December is £350.

  • Bookings that don’t reach the minimum will be charged at the equivalent minimum cost.

  • A surcharge of £50 will apply for all Bank Holiday bookings.

SECURING YOUR WEDDING BOOKING

  • For any wedding bookings, the booking of the wedding date is only reserved once the client has paid a £100 non-refundable booking fee.

  • Your quote is valid for 7 days from the date it is sent. If you wish to proceed, please accept the online booking. Prices are subject to change throughout the year, but any secured/existing bookings will not be affected.

  • This booking fee secures your trial and holds your wedding date. The booking fee is deducted from your wedding day invoice. The booking fee is due within 48 hours of your booking fee invoice being sent, or your date will be released.

  • Should a trial not take place, 50% of the overall event day cost will be required to secure the wedding date at the time of confirming the booking.

  • Payment for your trial is due 72 hours prior to your trial taking place.

  • Dates are given on a first-come, first-served basis. If another inquiry is received for your specified date, a 24-hour notice will be sent via email giving you the first option to secure your booking.

  • For large bookings, a second artist/assistant may be required. This will be advised to you at the time of your booking. The artist will be chosen and secured by Claire Field, and an administration charge of £80 will be added to your invoice for this service, covering time, administration, issuing of contracts to the artist, artist’s travel, and invoicing.

  • Early starts (prior to 7am) will be charged at an additional hourly rate of £50.

 

PAYMENT

  • Payments can be made by bank transfer. Cheques will not be accepted.

  • Final and remaining balances set out on your invoice are due 2 weeks prior to your wedding date.

  • Failure to make payments within the agreed timeframe may result in the cancellation of your booking.

 

OTHER EVENT BOOKINGS (1:2:1 Lessons / Proms etc.)

  • The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid a non-refundable booking fee of 50% of the overall event cost.

  • For prom or event bookings where a trial is being held, the trial cost will be required as the booking fee. The event date will be held for up to 72 hours following completion of the trial, at which stage a 50% deposit is required to secure the event.

 

TRAVEL

  • All road travel to and from the trial/wedding is free for the first 10 miles from postcode RH19 4EP. Thereafter, a fee of £0.50 per mile will apply.

  • Congestion, toll, and parking charges may apply and will be quoted accordingly or, where necessary, paid in cash on the day.

  • Weddings that exceed 75 miles, are over 2 hours away, or have a particularly early start time may require overnight accommodation and/or be subject to additional hourly rates. These details will be advised in writing.

  • For destination weddings/events, ground travel in the UK and the destination country will be required, as well as flights and accommodation for the night before the wedding/event (and, if necessary, after). A day rate of £200 will also be charged for time spent travelling.

 

SKIN ALLERGY/CONDITIONS

  • It is the client’s responsibility to inform Claire Field before the booked date of any sensitivities, allergies, or conditions that may affect any member of the booked party receiving makeup application. Claire Field cannot be held liable for failure to inform prior to makeup application.

  • Claire Field reserves the right to refuse the application of makeup if any contagious skin, scalp, or eye conditions are present.

 

TIME DELAYS

  • Claire Field cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by events beyond her control (e.g., weather, flight cancellations, road travel delays, etc).

 

CLIENT CANCELLATION / AMENDMENTS

In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your booking completely:

  • Any cancellation made within 24 hours of the booking will still require full payment. This can be reconsidered under certain circumstances.

The following client cancellation terms only apply to bridal bookings and large group bookings:

  • For client cancellations that take place:

    • 30 days within your booking date – 100% of your balance is due.

    • 30-60 days within your booking date – 75% of your balance is due.

    • 60-90 days’ notice – 50% of your balance is due.

    • 90+ days’ notice – No charge.

Please note that your deposit is non-refundable.

  • If you wish to postpone your wedding/event date, all deposits/balances will be rolled over to the new date. If Claire Field is not available on your new date, your deposit may be refunded as a goodwill gesture, minus any administration costs (to be advised in writing).

  • The client is required to give a minimum of 4 weeks’ (1 month’s) notice to Claire Field of any changes (more or fewer) to the number of people receiving makeup services. If anyone in the booked party changes their mind within 4 weeks of the booked date, the total price will remain unchanged. Please ensure that all members of your bridal party are 100% confirmed to avoid disappointment.

 

HAIR & MAKEUP ARTIST CANCELLATION

  • In very rare circumstances, and only in cases of serious illness or immediate family emergencies, Claire Field may cancel a confirmed booking.

  • In such circumstances, all efforts will be made to find a replacement makeup artist, with details, products, and photos of your desired makeup look provided.

  • If no replacement is found, all payments made will be refunded to you.

  • Claire Field reserves the right to refuse service to clients if any abusive or threatening behaviour is encountered during the booking. Any cancellation due to this reason will not entitle a refund, and full payment will still be required.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

  • Please ensure a suitable setup table (to fit two laptop-sized bags as a minimum) and chairs are provided, with consideration to space and natural light (ideally by a window) and a power socket close by for makeup lights if needed.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to familiarise themselves with, understand, and accept all booking terms and conditions.

 

INSURANCE

  • Claire Field is fully insured by Salon Gold and has full public liability insurance to protect both herself and the client.

  • It is highly recommended that couples have full wedding insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances out of either your or Claire Field’s control.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY

  • To enhance Claire Field’s portfolio and social media profiles, please inform her if you do not wish to be photographed or are not happy for your images to be used for marketing purposes. Photo credits will, of course, be given to your photographer.
